More Steps Toward a Police State

Edited 9-28-2012 Hatetheists will naturally laugh at the title and this article (even to the point of disagreeing with me for its own sake). Some people are too young, uninformed and/or looking for excuses to hate to be aware of what has happened in the not-too-distant past. Totalitarianism is not normally something that happens quickly. The erosion of liberties takes place gradually, and when tyrants rule, cowed people wonder what happened. One advantage of having free speech is the ability to sound the alarm. While we still can. The nonsense of politically correct speech is increasing. It is an excuse to stifle free speech. I was watching some comedy shows on some of those increasingly popular rerun channels. There were jokes in them that were innocuous for their time, and would be harmless today. But they could not be done on modern TV shows because professional racists like Al Unsharpton would be organizing protests in front of the network's headquarters. People live i

Killing the Evolution Werewolf

Image
Evolution can be likened to a werewolf. It is unnatural, has no right to exist, destroys lives, perpetuates its own curse and should be put down. stock.xchng/busangane "How can you say that, Cowboy Bob? Evolution is a scientific fact!" Nope. Despite the rantings of Darwin's undereducated cheerleaders and fundamentalist stormtroopers, evolution is not a "fact", and it is not "science" . Sure, we are subjected to tendentious interpretations of facts shoved through evolutionary presuppositions and told, "Here is proof!", but actual examinations of the facts do not support it. Also, evolution is a belief system about the past using scientific methods; this is historical science, not observational science, and the two should not be equivocated . The philosophies of evolutionism have been applied to economics and governments, making it into a disastrous religion . Although proponents of evolution claim to have reason on their side, logic

What If Christians Acted Like Muslims?

Image
Mohammedans attacked American embassies, killing an ambassador and other members of the diplomatic corps. (Note to B. Hussein Obama, "corps" in this context is pronounced "core".) Of course, it was sheer coincidence that coordinated attacks on American embassies happened on September 11, yes? Sure it was. And of course, they were perfectly right in rioting and killing people because they were "offended" by an amateur film that insulted Mohammed, never mind that the people they killed had nothing to do with the film. Some countries believe in freedom of speech (except the United States, where Mohammedans are being coddled more and more, on our way to Sharia law). Christians put up with a great deal of ridicule and outright hatred. What if we did not actually follow the teachings of the Bible? Washington, DC — The so-called "Reason Rally" had about one hundred nervous people in attendance because of threats by Christian radicals. Being

Atheists Attack 9/11 Cross

September 11, 2001 propelled vitriolic militant atheism into high gear. Anti-God books became best sellers and the so-called "new" atheism became profitable. People who already hated God pretended that he was not there (even though they know he exists, Romans 1.20-22) and used it as an excuse to attack "religion". In addition, this kind of atheism lead to the destruction of the faith of others who were not grounded in the Word, not knowing what or why they believed — an indictment on lethargic Christians who were not doing their jobs in proclaiming and presenting Christ (2 Peter 3.18, 1 Peter 3.15, 2 Cor. 10.5, Jude 1.3). Angry atheopaths seem unconcerned that they are the least-trusted group . Even though this version of atheism is on the slide (and accelerating) , their protesting and interfering in the free expression of religion for other people continue to become a stench. Case in point: Misotheists are protesting the "Ground Zero Cross" .

Debunking the Atheist Claim of Growth (Again)

Image
stock.xchng Many times, I have encountered atheists who make the claim that atheism is growing. (Why anyone would join a religion like atheism that has no factual support, is incoherent, has vituperative trolls, a high percentage of unpleasant adherents and other things working against it is beyond me.) Their claim of growth has been debunked several times, and Christianity is growing ( an example of debunking their claims is this reference ). Some atheopaths resort to using a survey that was conducted by the Gallup people. They love to find the exception to prove their belief system. It turns out that this survey was not adequately performed. Often it’s worth closely examining the dramatic claims made by the media. Some media outlets seem to be attracted to claims that atheism is on the rise and that religion in general (and Christianity in particular) is in decline. As Christians and members of the Church in Toronto we ought to “prove all things.” What follows is my attempt

Darwin's Rejection of God

Image
Although touted as a "great scientist", many people do not know that Darwin's formal schooling was not in science, but in theology, where he soared to the heights of mediocrity. His rejection of God, who is revealed in the Bible, is severely lacking in logic. It is fundamentally flawed by naturalistic presuppositions and by emotional excuses. His journey of rejection is similar to other agnostics and to many atheists who are not actually using reason for their rejection of God. Besides, people like that are lying to themselves and to the rest of us, because they really do know that God exists (Romans 1.20-22). Charles Darwin grew up embracing the ‘intelligent design’ thinking of his day—William Paley’s renowned argument that the design of a watch implies there must have been an intelligent watchmaker, and so design in the universe implies there must have been an intelligent Creator. Concerning this, Darwin wrote, ‘I do not think I hardly ever admired a book more tha
