Fraud on Facebook?

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen There are many instances of outright fraud on Facebook where people have been tricked into giving important information, making bad purchases, and so on. This is not about those third-party deceptions by sidewinders. No, this is about a different area. Modified from an image on Clker clip art In mid-November, the option was taken using Facebook's own "Promote Your Page" option to spotlight The Question Evolution Project . There were some good articles that needed exposure, and we've done these promotions before. The targeted areas were the United States, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Australia, India, and Indonesia (we do get visitors from non-English-speaking countries), and the promotion is toward people who have an interest in the topics we cover. When the Likes started pouring in, I realized that something was wrong. At this moment, we show about 5,225 Likes from people who use some form of English as their selected la

Village Atheist Tricks

Image
A simple, fair, obvious question: If atheists and anti-creation evolutionists are confident in their reasoning abilities, why do they resort to unconscionable and illegal methods to silence Christians and creationists? I reckon that the days are long gone where people could discuss matters rationally. Now, we have to deal with attacks. This fits in with the rising tide of wickedness in the world, but atheopaths are behind a lot of it. Especially on the interwebs. Those of us with knowledge and experience can dismantle their "reasoning" and expose their logical fallacies, especially since most are based on assertions, intimidation, ridicule and outright personal attacks. Many atheists are materialists who are bowing to their religion of Scientism . Since many can't saddle up the horse of reason and learn to ride, they prefer to go in with six-guns blazing in different ways — primarily based on provoking emotional reactions. Some resort to criminal acts like imperso

Semantics, Logic and Anti-Christian Bigotry

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen A "meme" that I used on a post 1 provoked some amazingly obstreperous and arrogant comments from anti-creationists. They misused logic and presented some remarks that were saturated with hate. These were predicated on what they considered a misuse of "science", the current definition of the Big Bang. My introductory remarks in the post said that the Big Bang was an explosion, and the article that I linked in the post had did not discuss the Big Bang, it was about other explosions. But they apparently didn't bother to read that one, they wanted to rip the "anti science" of calling the Big Bang an "explosion". Well, was the Big Bang an explosion? Or, more importantly for this article, is it justified to make such a remark? Yes, definitely. First, the Big Bang is called an explosion (or inferred by words like "cataclysmic") in dictionaries 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , but some must have received the memo that t

Logic Lessons: Arguing from Silence

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen  In a previous "Logic Lesson", I touched on the Argument from Silence , but I forgot that I did it! Diddly dur hay. Anyway, this is a more complete treatment. Arguments from silence, like other fallacies, have some clear-cut examples that are easily identifiable. The basic form is that if someone does not answer a question or give a response, it is taken as confirmation that the other person is right. Unfortunately, I do not have screenshots of one of my favorite examples. An atheopath on Twitter was attacking me for something or other, and I had better things to do (such as watching television). When I came back to Twitter, I realized that I had lost a "debate". The guy had been firing of questions and comments. Because he did not get responses from me, he declared victory for himself — I lost a debate that I did not know I had! Here is another one. It was posted in a forum, and I found out that it was e-mailed to me from a spammer-stal

Questions for Creationists on Question Evolution Day

Image
To celebrate the third annual Question Evolution Day , I'm going to keep this post simple. Here is a video that is just under half an hour. It's from Ian Juby's "Genesis Week", and contains information that anti-creationists ignore, ridicule, misrepresent and do whatever they can to keep people from hearing the truth and thinking for themselves. Go ahead, you know you want to watch it!

Genius In Action

Image
A clever lad just wanted to argue. An Admin at " The Question Evolution Project " on Facebook dismantled a ridiculous quote by Thomas Jefferson, and here is a response we had to deal with from a joker who had to say something — anything — to argue with the st00pid dumb Xtian. I guess this evolutionist is a "freethinker", huh?

Keeping Busy in 2014

Image
Buon giorno. I hope you're having a good New Year's Day, and wish you a prosperous and blessed 2014. This is pretty much a check-in. As you can see, this Weblog is mostly dormant. Since I have put a great deal of effort into many of the articles, I keep it for reference. And some articles have repeated traffic, and I don't want to disappoint those people, capice? I have two heartfelt New Year's articles if you're interested. The first one is at Radaractive, where I do occasional guest posts. It's called "Secularist 'Wisdom'" . Second, and more New Year's related (and personal) is at Piltdown Superman, " The End at the Beginning ".  My main effort is my Weblog with material supporting biblical creation and refuting evolution, " Evolutionary Truth by Piltdown Superman ". The truth is, there is no truth in goo-to-you evolution; you've been lied to and only shown the happy spin of Darwin's Cheerleaders. Oh

Atheist Research and Deception on Evolution Weekend

Image
by Cowboy Bob Sorensen It must drive Michael Zimmerman and other misotheists around the bend that there are people who are not interested in his "Evolution Weekend" apostasy drive. F'rinstance, there are Bible-believing Christians who take a stand and proclaim " Creation Sunday " every year since 2006. There are also people involved in the grassroots " Question Evolution Day ", started by yours truly in 2012. It was inspired by the " Question Evolution! " campaign. One part of "Question Evolution Day" includes the use of the " 15 Questions for Evolutionists " presented by CMI . (I was honored that they liked my video and included it in their "15 Questions" page.) As I've said for a while now, hate stupidifies. (For the atheopath readers, that's stupid-i-fies, it makes people stupid.) Their emotions cloud their reasoning abilities. I am not a reader of the "Huffington Post", even t

Video: The Magic of Evolution

Image
To be a consistent atheist, you cannot follow where the evidence leads. At least, not if you see that the evidence shows evolution is not science and that there is a Creator. No, even though the Creator is the rational conclusion, emotion and blind hate keep the irrational atheist from getting there. Instead, they have to believe in some magical things that defy reason. Things that lead them to the magical fairyland of evolution, and seething, bitter hatred for Bible believers and for  Question Evolution Day, February 12 . Edit: For those who claim that evolution is not concerned with the origin of life, and that such a thing is not even taught, that is the opposite of the truth. Here is one example .

Possibly a Troll Record!

Image
This is amazing. Truly. A troll came along, wanting to be immortalized. He pretended to be Joe Intellectual, and showed himself both clueless and foolish. In the initial attack, he simply fired off several questions that he obviously did not wish to have answered. Atheopaths do not do their homework. His questions contained assertions and biases as well as outdated, faulty "science" . Also, this is a form of the fallacy of "elephant hurling". From there, he progressed to accusations. He did not answer the question. Here we have a personal attack and further faulty assertions. This one is simply precious: More assertions, a lie ("a couple of reasonable questions"), attempts to manipulate emotions, and a massive ego. Why are these people so narcissistic? It's amazing that they are not willing to do some research on any creationist positions , get up to speed on their own fundamentalist evolutionist dogma, or simply be qui etly sm

Dismantling a Dawkins Disciple

Image
An angry, uninformed atheopath took exception to The Question Evolution Project making sport of an atheist pope who ridicules the beliefs of others. Here is the "meme" that upset him: This is what he said, and the provocative reply (with a bonus troll remark just above his): Since some of us are not fond of bullies, trolls and obstreperous twits, it was kicked up a notch: The "previous comment" referenced there was a link to an article with proof that many professional atheists do believe that everything came from nothing . He did not like the way the game was going, and proceeded to fuss more: Note the foolish attempt at ridicule by bringing up Jesus in an attempt to force us to a standard that he himself does not believe (typical hypocrisy of atheists), and then calling TQEP "liar". It's amazing how people love their hero but don't know much about what has been said or written. Here is proof in his own words that Richard D
