Fools on the Wrong Road

Short videos and music video for April 1 (Atheists' Day). Two kinds of fools are on the wrong highway, and it's time to exit!

There are two kinds of fools that I want to deal with today. 

 Atheist Fools
April 1, so it is Atheists' Day (Psalm 14.1). They are on the broad highway that leads to destruction, but suppress the truth of the God they know exists. 

 This was on a Facebook Page that was set up by atheists to mock and blaspheme (click for larger):
My reply was comprised of the references and text of Prov. 26:12, Rom. 11:33-34, Isaiah 55:8-9, 1 Cor. 2:14, Jer. 17:9, 1 Cor. 1:19-20, Psalm 14:1, Rom. 1:18-22, Phil. 2:9-11. Naturally, the response was ridiculed. This guy proved God's Word right again (and blasphemed further). People like this want us to reject God's written Word and embrace their false god, which they call "science". That is a philosophy made up my humans, so in essence, it comes down to worshiping man, not God.

 They need to exit their highway to destruction now. Let's have Wild Bill explain in this short video. Then we'll ride the trail in a slightly different direction afterward.



The Christian Fool
Yes, there are Christian fools. Remember, Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1 say, "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God'". We can act like God isn't there by denying the authority of Scripture. One way to do that is having a buffet-style religion, just pick and choose what you'll believe and then say that the other parts don't matter. No, this doesn't mean honest disagreements over the interpretation of some details. There are people who find excuses to disbelieve the Bible, hate and ridicule creationists, lie about God, say that the Bible is written by "ignorant goat herders" — and claim that they go to church! 

Similarly, there are "Christians" who compromise on the Word of God and perform massive eisegesis (reading into the text so they can twist the Bible to support their preconceptions). People like this join with atheists in embracing the magisterial view of science philosophies. The ones who are bringing down the cause of Christ are not the ones who believe his Word, but those I just described.

 For people who claim to be Christians and "live like the devil", or are allegedly church-going but blaspheme and live in hatred and bitterness toward people who do believe the Bible, compromise and twist the Word of God, I urge you to repent and examine yourselves (2 Cor. 13:5). Other examples of Christian foolishness include ignoring their Bibles, and neglecting good teaching (2 Tim. 3:16).

Playing religious games and deceiving yourselves as well as others is a dangerous game. Sure, you'll meet God face to face one day, but you may be on the wrong side of Judgement, and end up in the opposite place that you expected to spend eternity in.

Two kinds of fools with some things in common.: they both deny the authority of Scripture, and are in rebellion against God. This is rooted in pride. Professing Christians like this are saying in their hearts, "There is no God".

Where Does It Stop?

I was going to give these topics a rest, but something came up. On a previous post, Zach made a comment, and I am excerpting it here. His first sentence is an answer to a question I had asked him. Hope you're not embarrassed, but I want to give you a more complete response than the comments section would allow: My lack of belief in the supernatural is pretty much complete - I have never seen any reason to attribute a supernatural cause to phenomena. I suppose I rule out supernatural explanations because once you let one in, where do you stop? I look at an event I do not understand and go immediately to natural causes. Even if I can't figure it out, I still would assume it had a natural explanation. I'm worried that if someone started attributing causes to supernatural events, they would skip over the whole 'natural cause' thing and go straight for the supernatural, because technically everything is potentially explainable by an omnipotent being, no?

Keeping My Wife at a Distance Online

(At Piltdown Superman when I'm writing in my cowboy character, I do not.) However, I never named or described her. The reason is quite simple: atheists and leftists.
